How did you start your brand?
I started my brand after working for some notable designers in NYC. I wanted to create pieces that I didn’t see in the market using my vision, combining film and jewelry, to inspire the design.

Your favourite piece from your collection?
I tend to gravitate towards the bigger pieces, so I would say my favourite is the Get Cool Boy earrings. Although I do wear the Oh So Pretty Hoops almost everyday!

Where have you just come back from?
I just got back from a wedding in Capri!

Where have you felt happiest?
I really love the summertime, so I feel happiest on the beach and swimming in warm water.

A place that most lived up to the hype?
Capri!

What is your favourite city?
So far it’s Paris, but there are many other cities I’m hoping to explore.

What’s the best hotel you’ve stayed in?
I wouldn’t call this a hotel, but it was the best place I’ve ever stayed while on vacation.  It’s called Deetjen’s Big Sur Inn, off of Route 1 and very close to the cliffs.  It’s a collection of cabins on a small plot of land that was built in the 1930’s.   There are not a lot of amenities, but it was really fun to stay at.  It also had an incredible restaurant.

Describe a childhood holiday memory
Since I grew up in Vermont, I just remember always getting some sort of sled or tube for Christmas and then spending the whole day building jumps and playing in the snow, and laughing really hard.

Where has been the most exceptional place you’ve visited?
I realize this is the third time I’m bringing up Capri, but because it was so recent and incredible I would have to answer Capri again! Haha.  When you go there you’re surrounded by beauty at every angle.  From the flowers, to the lemon trees, to the food, the cliffs, and water it was just hard not to be impressed by this place!

Ultimate simple pleasure?
Popcorn and a movie

I wish I knew how to:
I wish I knew how to sew. I love clothes and feel the same desire to design, but only know the basics, which doesn’t get you very far.

‘I lost my heart in…’
Bob Dylan’s book Chronicles.  I feel in love with his experience and when I read it I had just had a breakup, so I put all my heartache into his book and learning about him…kind of like a crazy fan girl.  It was a great distraction!

Confess to one thing you’ve taken from a hotel room?
I don’t think I’ve ever taken anything from a hotel, maybe the shampoo, but you’re supposed to take that…right?
